Description
How it works:
Writing down your Great Goals for 2023 is already half the way to achieving them!
Thoughtful articulation of the desired result always contains the solution to the problem. So grab your pen or stylus and make your craziest dreams actual implementable projects.
We are being realistic here, so we have limited the number by 3, each broken into small easily manageable bites. The progress line will help you visualize your results and will support you in the hardest time reminding you how much you have already achieved.
Don’t forget to write down the skills and resources you already have, and those you need to add up on. This helps to boost your confidence and assess objectively your current situation.
Start now and let the “Year-end review” section beat your highest expectations!
= HOW TO USE BACKWARD GOAL PLANNING TECHNIQUE =
- Define your final desired result
- Your result should be: limited, measurable, achievable
- Next answer to the phrase “One step before that I have…”
- Continue answering to “And one step before that…” till you reach the present moment
- Fill the “What I have” and “What I need” fields
- Now read everything from the bottom to the top – this is your detailed action plan!
How it works:
Setting up a big and important goal looks overwhelming. We have all been there. But what if you could break a mountain into small pieces in a snap without making the exhausting mental (and psychological) effort?
How? Start from the final result and move backward!
This principle helps us trick our brain’s defense against thinking about big goals and responsibilities:
write the final result at the top cell of the planner, and then move step by step backward answering in writing one single question – “and what do I do one step before that?”.
Continue moving down the list till you reach your current situation – so this is where begin moving up towards your goal. And the best thing? You have just created a very detailed, manageable, and actionable plan!
